Ivan Ângelo
Ivan Ângelo (born February 4, 1936, in Barbacena, Minas Gerais province) is a Brazilian writer who has worked as a novelist, short-story writer, and journalist. He won the Prêmio Jabuti for his books ''A festa'' (''The Celebration'') and ''Amor?'' and has received awards from the Association of Art Critics of São Paulo for ''A face horrivel'' and ''Pode me beijar se quiser''.〔(Partido da Causa Operária website )〕 He is the former editor of the ''Jornal da Tarde'' and has written a regular column for the weekly São Paulo newsmagazine ''Veja'' since 1999. He has also lectured at Yale University.
